At Sign Lab, we hold space where the hearing and Deaf communities meet to connect and exchange knowledge and wisdom through the language of the hands – and heart.
Our story began with a simple yet ambitious wish: making sign language an accessible fun tool for everyone to connect, discover themselves, and dive into new realms of knowledge. Our courses and events are co-led by Deaf mentors and certified interpreters, blending games with real-life practice, from everyday greetings to workplace conversations. You’ll leave each encounter with practical skills and the confidence to connect. Come learn in a way that feels like you: welcoming, genuine, and full of stories and wonder.

Our Story

Bridging Worlds, Sharing Wisdom

We are more than a language platform. We deeply believe that the Deaf community has so much knowledge and wisdom to share just as much as the hearing community does. We saw the gap between both worlds globally, but especially in our region, and we decided to step up.

Why us? Chafic is Deaf, extremely ambitious, skilled, and knows exactly how to best represent the Deaf culture and soul. Naila is a hearing CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult) who has always been an interpreter but whose passion for the stories behind signs got her to spark curiosity in the hearing world. Together, we know what it takes to get both communities to take a step towards one another. We built the space where they will both meet and create magic.

What drives us?

Empowering the Deaf

Not just support, empowerment! More hearing people learning how to sign means access to more information for the Deaf, employment opportunities, and co-lead projects between both.

Building bridges of understanding

The gap between both worlds is that of misunderstanding, not inability. The bridge we aim to build is established with bricks of genuine connection and interaction from both sides.

Discovering your potential

This journey is also about you. Sign language isn't just a form of communication. It's a doorway to understanding your mind-body connection, improving your creative expression, and your public speaking skills.

Celebrating Deaf Culture and Identity

We are madly in love with sign language, and we teach it with all the cultural, historical, and humorous capacities it holds. The Deaf community is not only an essential part of our society. They are physical archivers of our identity and what we stand for.
